They reached a lake high in the altitudes of the Himalayan mountains, where he reached a tribe of Buddhist.
Who joyfully welcomed them.
Upon getting to know them they had mentioned there greatest trouble was finding water in the winter when everything freezes!
Historical accounts state they walked on to Guru Dong Mar lake around 17,800 ft (5,430 m). In the middle of winter on thick frozen Ice they struck the ice with a blow from their walking stick & the ice broke & the water appeared beneath!
Today you need metal augers and usually a machine to drill through Ice especially in the winter months where loaded trucks drive through Ice feet of ice.

Saint Sat Guru Nanak Dev had mentioned to them it will no longer completely freeze in the winter & if they took care of the water it will remain ambrosial for ever!
Even today the lake doesn't fully freeze in the winter.
